Imagine coming back home from a trip and finding the house has been flooded and is in terrible shape. Restoring the damage can take weeks and can be extremely costly.
That’s what happened to me.
And that’s why we developed Watrix.
About Us
One day, at work, I received a phone call from my mother to say the power was out and there was water everywhere in my newly built home. The water tank on my roof had broken and flooded my home.
I spent the next 48 hours making my house livable again. Working with insurance representatives and restoration professionals, it took another three weeks and thousands of dollars to restore it to normal.
When talking with the insurance people, I understood that what happened at my house was very common and almost nothing can be done about it.
I called Yaniv (who later became our co-founder and CTO) and asked him for advice on how to prevent damage from water leaks occurring.
All the solutions we found didn’t meet our expectations. They all needed WIFI connectivity (which is reliant on power supply), so they wouldn’t have worked in my case.
I wanted a failsafe solution that will always be on alert.
So, We developed one.
Today, with Watrix installed in my home, I have peace of mind.
The system sends me alerts if something goes wrong with my water supply and shuts off the water if needed.
One less thing to worry about!
